CUltureworks opens 2025 annual grant application

The first component of the 2025 Annual Grant, the Letter of Intent (LOI), is open now through February 28th at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation grant application open to non-profit organizations

Grants from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation are distributed in four focus areas (human needs, environmental stewardship, education, community vitality) and are limited to organizations defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.

Grant applications will be accepted online during two annual grant cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall.

Most grant awards range from $1,000 to $15,000, while higher amounts may be awarded when a program is an exceptional fit.

Call for artists - art 180 seeking bike-inspired artwork for group show

ART 180 is looking for submissions from artists of all mediums and levels are encouraged to submit work inspired by the bike—its form, function, and the deeper meanings and cultural, personal connections it holds.

Submit visual, audio, kinetic, textual, sculptural works that explore 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙞𝙠𝙚 as a force for equity, independence, sustainability, and resistance. We want to see your vision!

Submissions close March 10. No fee for entry. Selected artists must arrange delivery of their work to the gallery.

The exhibition will open on Friday, April 4th and run until April 21st.

rICHMOND rEGION tOURISM — SPECIAL EVENT INCUBATION GRANT

Fueling Innovation & Growth for New Events in the Richmond Region

Richmond Region Tourism is pleased to launch the inaugural Special Event Incubation Grant funded by the Tourism Improvement District. The Special Event Incubation Grant is a unique funding opportunity open to any entity planning a new special event in the Richmond region.

To qualify for the grant, the special event must:

- Be a new special event, a special event that’s within its first three years of existence, or a newly created ancillary event that is designed to enhance an existing event.

- The special event must attract at least 25% of its attendees from outside a 50-mile radius of the Richmond area, with those attendees staying for at least one night.

Applicants can request up to $5,000, which will be reimbursed post-event for expenses directly related to the event. See attached grant application for more details and on reimbursable event expenses.

VIrginia Commission for the Arts Touring and Teaching Artist Rosters

Did you know the Virginia Commission for the Arts offers two Artist Rosters to support performing and teaching artists throughout the state?

Discover the Touring Artist Roster and Teaching Artist Roster today! If you’re a high-quality artist eager to share your craft with audiences and learners across Virginia, the Artist Roster could be the perfect opportunity for you. Virginia-based artists are invited to apply. Applications will be available in the VCA's online grant system starting April 1. The deadline for submission is June 15, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. EST.

Virginia department of wildlife resources “restore the wild” artwork competition

Artists are welcome to create and submit an original piece of art (not photography) for the 2025 Restore the Wild Artwork Competition! Artwork for Restore the Wild should reflect Restore the Wild’s mission to restore and create natural habitats vital to the survival of Virginia’s wildlife.
