artoberVA featured a month-long lineup of events, workshops, performances, and community gatherings, highlighting the role of arts and culture in fostering connected and resilient communities.

In addition to the hundreds of unique experiences in our calendar, we enjoyed the artoberVA Kickoff Block Party, a Pay What You Will Event Series, Artoberfest, and Open Doors: a Virtual Series on Access in Arts and Culture!

What is artoberVA?

artoberVA is a month-long celebration of arts & culture in Richmond and the Tri-Cities! During October, artoberVA promotes over 1,000 experiences from over 100 participating artists and arts & culture organizations, including music, dance, theatre, visual art, museums, and more!

Presented by CultureWorks, artoberVA aims to increase participation in arts and culture events and expand the exposure of organizations, venues, and artists shaping our vibrant and creative scene.
