Artists, Arts & Culture Organizations, and Local Businesses:
we want YOU to participate in artoberVA!
During artoberVA, CultureWorks elevates a variety of diverse arts and culture offerings, by and for everyone.
This annual program intends to market, spotlight, and promote YOU: artists, arts & culture organizations, and local businesses throughout our region.
While CultureWorks shares about artoberVA through paid, earned, and social channels, we need artists & organizations to join in the movement we are promoting!
Do you have an arts and culture related event? Interested in providing an arts & culture-related offering?
Post what you have going on to our calendar. Use artoberVA logos on your graphics and flyers. Include artoberVA language on your website, social channels, and ticketing pages. Tag @cultureworksrva and @artoberva in your content.

Q: Do I need to plan something extra specifically for artoberVA?
No! artoberVA is intended to be incorporated into your preexisting programming, though you are welcome to plan something special if you would like.
Q: I have a cool thing going on in October! Can I get involved?
Yes! artoberVA is intended to be adopted by any artist, organization, or business in the community independently. To get involved in artoberVA, we recommend engaging with this campaign by posting to our calendar, placing artoberVA logos on your graphics & flyers, and tagging us on social media!

Q: Why October?
October is National Art & Humanities Month! It’s also a busy time for arts & culture in our region—from iconic festivals like the Richmond Folk Fest, 2nd Street Festival, LambArts Fest, and InLight, to the over 1,000+ others arts & culture experiences on our calendar in the month of October—there’s truly so much to celebrate.
