About the Speaker

Join us for a discussion on The Art & Power of Facilitation with Serena Fulton of Rootspace.

Have you ever experienced a “this could have been an email” meeting - one that leaves you bored and disengaged? Has your group ever struggled to meet its goals for gatherings, events, or processes? Do you feel disconnected from the people you work or collaborate with?

You may be missing a secret ingredient - effective facilitation.

Facilitation is the art of making work easier and unlocking growth and learning - and, it’s a critical skill that often gets overlooked as a vehicle for change. Facilitation can be the alchemy that engages your group, fosters relationship building and inclusive environments, helps meet your outcomes, or supports clear and direct communication.

You don’t need to be a trained facilitator to facilitate. In fact, you are probably already facilitating in your work, social, and home life in ways you might not even recognize. Join this session to learn about the power of facilitation and the art of honing the craft intentionally.

Rootspace is an organizational development consultancy with a goal of making work, work better for us. A portal person, facilitator, and creative strategist, Serena's focus is on helping individuals and groups transform themselves and their relationships through the spaces and containers created to hold work. Prior to launching Rootspace in January 2023, Serena worked for 5 years at Floricane, where she managed change management and culture building initiatives, consulted on strategic planning projects, developed onboarding programs, and facilitated team and leadership development trainings.
