CultureWorks Arts and Culture Community Impact Grant is open!

Individual artists and non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Richmond and the surrounding region with an annual budget of les than $750,000 are eligible to apply.

Award tiers of $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000 are available.

Visarts hiring director of development

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts) is a nonprofit community arts center located in the heart of Richmond's Fan District.

We are currently looking for their next Director of Development.

The Director of Development leads the organization's multi-faceted fundraising strategies, including individual, foundation, government and corporate giving as well as lead fundraising strategies for our annual special events.

RVAGalleries Mother’s Day Market Accepting Vendors

Vendor applications are open for artists and makers at Willow Lawn’s Art and Makers Market.

The market is a curated collection of Richmond creatives and amkers. Artisans who offer fine art, art prints, pottery/ceramics, jewelry, textiles, candles, etc. will be considered. We will review your application and email an approval or disapproval within three business days of receipt.

Join Richmond's music community on Monday, February 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm for an open dialogue among bookers, venue owners, musicians and more. Q & A at the end!


Ever wonder why ticket prices fluctuate, how venues choose which artists to book, or what goes into making your favorite local shows happen? This is your opportunity to hear directly from the people behind Richmond’s independent venues and get insights into the booking process.

We’ll be collecting questions ahead of time through a poll on our story and will open up the floor for an audience Q+A at the event.

Public Humanities Fellowship with Virginia Humanities

Applications are open for Virginia Humanities’ Public Humanities Fellowships!

Writers, scholars, and community historians receive a $15,000 stipend for a fourth-month project, plus access to UVA and Library of Virginia archives and a cohort of peers.

Applications are due Tuesday, March 21, 2026.

Tidewater arts outreach recruiting for artist roster

Join Tidewater Arts Outreach as an artist serving older adults and those in isolating circumstances as they expand programming to Richmond!

All mediums (music, visual art, dance, drama, creative writing, etc.) are welcome. Artists are compensated for their time and all materials are provided. Artists are being accepted on a rolling basis.

Ovissi foundation grant opportunities now through march

The Ovissi Foundation is dedicated to supporting artists and programs created by individuals of Iranian descent and promoting Iranian art and culture.

The following awards are available:

  • Ovissi Artist Award

  • Modern Craft - Ceramic Award

  • Master’s of Fine Arts Scholarship
