Second Full Week of #artoberVA Recap!

We are more than half-way through #artoberVA. Time sure does move quickly when you’re having fun! Let’s Dig In to last week’s festivities.

Intermission Beer hosted a Bingo Night to benefit artoberVA & CultureWorks last Wednesday. Folks enjoyed the beer and scenery at Intermission’s outdoor space while bingo games were happening inside.

Thursday night was Opportunity Open Mic Night, hosted by local musician, Tre. Charles and the Better Housing Coalition. Awonderful lineup of talented youth performed songs, poems, and dances. It was uplighting to see the youth in our community express so much joy while sharing their talent with us and each other.

Lastly, this weekend was the official opening of Garden Glow at Maymont! Folks were in awe of the beautiful light installations and the chance to walk around the grounds. The gardens transformed into Glow Village complete with food trucks and fire pits right as the sun went down. Garden Glow will be open until Nov. 17!
